Our saying around here is: “you’re not married until you work together”. Well we’ve been married for 26 plus years and still enjoy each other’s company even through working together. We’ve managed to not only run a business together for the past 10 years, but have 4 great kids (3 girls and a boy). They get mad at us because anymore we talk about our grandkids instead of them. Currently, we have 4 grandkids (or “grand’s” as we call them), 2 girls and 2 boys, but we are hoping for a dozen or better. We love being grandparents and the time that we get to spend together. Some of those times are enjoyed on our tri-toon boat at a local lake, or visiting family in Florida or just sitting out back on the patio at our hobby farm watching the dogs, goats, cows and horses roam. We’ve also spent time coaching girls’ softball with our daughters, riding horses, raising animals and lots of church activities. Sid has pretty much always been in the family business. But, if you had told us back in HS (yes, we are HS sweethearts) that this is what we would end up doing, we both would have bet against it. God has interesting ways of showing us his plans. Laura spent 15 year as a credit union CEO so her background in bookkeeping and lending is a tremendous asset. A question we get asked a lot is: “Do you live in one of your homes?” The answer is, YES! We live in a 1600 sq ft manufactured home over a basement. Over the last 20 years we’ve found ways to keep improving our home with little remodel jobs here and there as our tastes or needs change. We also own 12 rental units that are manufactured homes, so you can see that we really like what we are doing. We’d like the opportunity to spend time with your family and help you with your housing needs and goals.
Randy Beary
Head Service Manager
Randy has worked for Davis Homes for the past four years as Head Service Manager. A native of south central Iowa, he began his construction experience as a graduate of Southwestern Community College's Electrician Training Program in 1978. In 1999, he entered the modular home industry as a salesman and a construction site manager. He started his own general contracting company in 2001, working mainly in southeastern Iowa. During this time he subcontracted for several modular home dealers in the area, doing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and heating. Randy joined the Davis Homes team in 2015. Randy and his wife Tina have been married for 38 years, and have lived in Mt. Pleasant for the last 19. Tina works for Mt. Pleasant Community Schools and enjoys spending time with grandchildren and making floral arrangements. They are the parents of five adult children—four girls and one boy. They have four wonderful son-in-laws, along with three beautiful grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family whenever possible and are active in their local church. Randy likes the outdoors and enjoys hunting and fishing in his free time. He is also a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and enjoys watching and listening to the games.
Bob Giesel
Service Technician
Bob has worked for Davis Homes in Mount Pleasant, Iowa for the past 4 years. He enjoys doing the drywall, painting, and construction for his dealership. Bob and his wife of 37 years, Carol, have two sons, one daughter, and eight grandkids. They enjoy remodeling homes, working in their gardens, and tending their hobby farm. Most of all, they love spending time with their grandkids.
Carlos Lopez
Crew Chief
Carlos Lopez has worked for Davis Homes for three years. He started as a Service Technician and is now a Crew Chief. Prior to his time at Davis Homes, Lopez spent two years with Beary Construction. A native of Pasadena, Texas, Carlos earned his BS from Iowa Wesleyan University where he was a member of the baseball team. While at Iowa Wesleyan, Lopez met his wife, Caitlyn. They have been married for three years and currently reside in Mt. Pleasant. Caitlyn has taught first grade for the Mt. Pleasant Community School District for the past five years. Both Carlos and Caitlyn enjoy the outdoors, hunting, and hiking whenever they can. The couple has a young daughter, Carsyn, who loves to play with friends, explore, and snuggle with her mom and dad.
Ben Davis
Housing Consultant
Joining our sales team a couple years ago was Ben Davis, who grew up working in a number of different roles in the business. Ben and his family relocated to Mount Pleasant from Cedar Falls, where he owned a flooring business and prior to that sold windows for Pella. Ben enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and following the Chicago Bears and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Ben’s wife, Tricia, enjoys cooking, baking, and homeschooling their daughters Lillian and Gabriella. Ben looks forward to helping his customers find the perfect home, at any budget.
Josh McDade
Service Technician
Josh has been with Davis Homes as a Service Tech for three years. Josh grew up and attended school in and around the Winfield area. He is a Veteran of the US Navy. Josh and his wife Kara have been married seven years. Kara is currently a homemaker, and she enjoys taking care of their children and photography. Kara loves to take photos in her free time! Together Josh and Kara share six children. Hailey, enjoys spending time with family; Alexis, has a passion for music; Aliviah, loves drawing and science; and Sophia, enjoys playing and being outside. They also have toddler twins, Colton and Isabella, who love playing with each other and with their sisters. Josh is a big Chicago Bears fan, and enjoys watching the games. During the summer months he likes to go fishing and be outdoors.
